a digital boxing ring (2002)

Software, computers, projection and internet

Pierre Mertens connected three locations, the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Careof (Milan) and the NICC (Antwerp) with a digital platform where online messages could be posted. It was a digital boxing ring of communication in which people could respond to each other’s messages online from anywhere by adding something or dragging, reducing or enlarging each other’s messages.

This was the connection work of Neterotopia, an art integration project on banners of existing websites that were rented as public space between 16th to 31st March 2006.
