In 1990 Pierre Mertens illustrated the literary magazine “De Brakke Hond”. He made an inner cover with his motif.
In the ICC on the Meir in Antwerp, Pierre Mertens made made 4 in-situ intervention.
He filled the stables with his figures. He painted the backs of the lighting fixtures. A painted stack of books supported the stairwell and in the exhibition space he hung a decorated urinal at the height of the floor.
